We are a network of Independent First Aid Trainers all registered with the HSE through Accredited/Approved First Aid Training Providers.

All types of courses are organised and the training takes place in a friendly and enjoyable atmosphere. We believe that you remember more when you’re having fun!  Our courses are not dry lectures but full of hands-on practical opportunities in a variety of situations to reinforce your learning.

Courses are registered with companies who have been approved by the HSE to provide training. We have trained a variety of differing clientele, including Supermarket and Store personnel, cleaning supervisors, Reiki practitioners, massage therapists and Reflexologists, NCT and nursery groups (Paediatric first aid), security personnel and parking enforcement personnel/attendants.

First Aid for You offers courses are available that cover a range of situations, from workplace safety to paediatric care, babies and toddlers, forest schools, and workplaces and are often tailored to specific environments such as schools or care environments. With experienced trainers, including those with emergency services backgrounds, interested participants can expect comprehensive training with lots of laughter and fun thrown in, that includes practical skills and up-to-date knowledge.

Principle Trainer : Jim Foster

Jim was in the Metropolitan Police Service for nearly 26½ years. He qualified as a Police First Aid Instructor in 1982, subsequently gained a City & Guilds 7303 Further Education Teaching Certificate (Distinction). Used as a Foundation Course with the Open University - gained a Professional Diploma in Post Compulsory Education, and in 1996, a Masters of Arts Degree in Education and Training.

In 1997 Jim expanded his knowledge base and passed an ITEC Therapeutic Massage, Anatomy & Physiology (TMAP) Course, then the ITEC Aromatherapy course.  He currently has clients in the Eastbourne, Bexhill, Hastings & Battle Areas providing a visiting service. He is able to offer a range of complementary therapies within a Massage Treatment. 

Jim has also merged these skills and by developing and running first aid courses specifically aimed at Therapists and Scout Groups.

Jim works intuitively and as far as possible to ensure sufficient flexibility in appointments and gives extra time when necessary.

Jim also provides basic and mandatory training for care staff, targeting training towards the client’s needs for their staff; these include, Basic Life Support, Health & Safety in the Social Care Environment, Infection Control, Dealing with Aggression and Lone Working

Jim’s passion is about helping people to learn, whatever their age, background or other defining characteristic.  Jim is deeply committed to assisting, through First Aid and Massage, those who need some extra support and - most importantly - TLC to make the most of their lives.
